About DancingStrong Movement Lab
DSML creates experiences in movement that are interdisciplinary somatic-based inquiry. Under the direction of Dr Adesola Akinleye & Dr Helen Kindred. DancingStrong mobilises movement ideas into performance text and film as well as facilitates and creates community-based art projects and performances, project and performance for young audiences as well as arts-in-education programming and consultation. DancingStrong's research also houses The Triip Project and our Associate Artists projects aimed at bringing together research collaborations between professional dancers, choreographers and arts spaces. During 2020 the Triip project also developed a virtual class component allowing dancers and non-dancers to attend movement-based classes through an on-line programme of weekly sessions and curated monthly workshops.
